L001/L002 Series
Sub-compact level float switches
The L001 and L002 are cost-effective, compact level switches equipped with unsurpassed quality, reliability and ease of installation. Comprised of solid polypropylene material, they are compatible with a wide range of liquids and withstand system pressures up to 150 PSIG. Options include a 1/8″ NPT or 3/8″-16 mount. The L001 is equipped with a fixed normally-open or normally-closed output while the larger L002 can be reversed in the field by inverting the float. With two inexpensive, compact level switch options, the L001 and L002 perform in a wide variety of demanding OEM applications.
Technology
Float level switches
All float operated liquid level controls operate on the basic buoyancy principle which states "the buoyancy force action on an object is equal to the mass of liquid displaced by the object." As a result, floats ride on the liquid surface partially submerged and move the same distance the liquid level moves. Because of this, they are normally used for narrow level differential applications such as high level alarm or low level alarm.
