S005 Series
Single-point, suspended float liquid level switch

The S005 Single-Point, Suspended Liquid Level Float Switch is a low-cost, float-actuated device intended for vertical mounting within a tank or process vessel. Available in three distinct design options, the S005 can accommodate installations where spacial limitations exist. The switch is also ideal for OEM applications where a single-point high or low level alarm is desired. Additional options include a variety of switch types, cable lengths and PVC cap attachment.

Technology

Float level switches

All float operated liquid level controls operate on the basic buoyancy principle which states "the buoyancy force action on an object is equal to the mass of liquid displaced by the object." As a result, floats ride on the liquid surface partially submerged and move the same distance the liquid level moves. Because of this, they are normally used for narrow level differential applications such as high level alarm or low level alarm.
