Reed switches are magnetically operated electrical switches used for contactless sensing, position detection, and circuit control. Ours are made to be highly durable, have low power consumption, and long operational life, for a wide range of industrial applications. Whether integrated into level sensors, proximity sensors, or safety systems, reed switches provide dependable, high-performance switching in demanding environments.

The magnetic field produced by the MLI float actuates the ORS when the liquid level moves the float into the proximity of the reed switch. The switch is bi-stable, so it will not reset until the float’s magnetic field passes it in the opposite direction.

The Model ORS-300 reed switch is housed in an explosion proof stainless steel enclosure, the ORS-300 mounts to the outside of the MLI via clamps. This mounting style allows addition or re-positioning of switches at any time, without disruption of the process.
